A Blessed Daughter of Elohiem

Psalm 37:28
For the LORD loves justice, And does not forsake His godly ones; They are preserved forever; But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off.

Today I sat at my desk and silent tears ran down my face. There is hardly a day that goes by that I don’t get a letter from one woman or another who had been or was being betrayed by her husband..  The letters were all the same, desperate women looking for help. Desperation because their covenant marriage partner is having an affair. In some cases in is not their first affair. In some cases the man is having an affair with another man.

These women have prayed until they are blue in the face, they have forgiven and now they are tired of seeing no change in their situation. You see folks it takes two people to want to work on a marriage.

The women that write me are Christian woman. Church going women who love the Lord. How sad it is that for fleshly desires men turn their backs on the wonderful women of God who love them. I have lived long enough to know that there will come a day when the desires of youth become a thing of the past and these men will look back and realize just what they threw away.

These women are broken vessels. They have been betrayed and hurt by someone they trusted to love them in a set apart relationship.  Their self-esteem is gone. It has been ruined by sleeping by the side of a man who has let them know that they are not enough for him.

You know the best thing a pastor can do for these women is NOT to tell them to stay and pray. The best thing a pastor can do is advising them to SEPARATE.  This beloved daughter of God deserves more than lying in a pigpen and groveling in the dirt. She deserves more than taking the few morsels of affection that occasionally come her way.

I usually advise the woman to read the book written by Doctor James Dobson of Focus on the Family “Love must be tough”. The book goes into detail about how a spouse should react to a marriage partner who is engaging in adultery. If women cannot afford the book then I go to Amazon.com and buy a used copy for them and send it as a gift. I have seen quite a few women “wake up” after reading that book.

Women often tell me “I feel I need to stay because of the children”. Nothing could actually be further from the truth. Children, especially boys, who see mom staying and being abused in this way or physically lose respect for women. Boys who later abuse women have seen their own mothers stay and take it and think their wives should too. Girls who are in abusive relationships have often had a mother who stayed in a situation she should have left. It’s an ugly cycle of abuse and by leaving the situation, until the marriage partner repents and comes back to the Lord; the children see mom setting Godly boundaries.

We say we believe in the return of the Lord and the taking up of His Bride but do we really? I am not so certain that we do. In the last year we have all heard the stories of Pastors having to step down because of some moral indiscretion. Pastors, men of God, who should realize that at any moment Jesus could return and find them living in sin. I have had a new revelation lately through prayer and fasting of what God wants in heaven. It’s not the once saved always-saved crowd that uses that as an excuse to dabble in hell. The Lord took me to the scripture in Isaiah 35 starting in verse 8 “and a main road will go through that once deserted land; it will be name “The Holy Highway.” No evil—hearted men may walk upon it.” Can it get any clearer than that, beloved? Need more proof? Lets look at Malachi 2 in the Old Testament and verse 13 “Another thing you do: you flood the LORD’S altar with tears.  You weep and wail because He no longer pays attention to your offerings and accepts them with pleasure from your hands. You ask, “WHY?” It is because the Lord is acting as the witness between you and the wife of your youth, because you have broken faith with her, though she is your partner, THE WIFE OF YOUR MARRIAGE COVENANT. And has not the Lord made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one “Because he was seeking godly offspring.  So guard yourself in your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of your youth.

I believe in forgiveness, I believe that after forgiveness God calls us to a period of repentance and then sets our feet on solid ground and uses us for His Glory. Not our glory but HIS.

The truth of the matter is that most people aren’t willing to walk away from sinful behavior until they have reached the bottom. They reach the bottom when the good Christian wife takes the kids and moves out of the pit of hell their lives have become.

There must be consequences for sin. We in the church have for too long told women to stay and pray! This thing is at epidemic proportions. If you don’t believe it come over and sit at my desk and read my mail for a week.

I am calling all pastors to start looking at these women the way Christ does as “Beloved daughters of Eloheim (God). Start treating these men as what they are behaving like “sons of satan”.  Provide money and counseling for these women so they can leave and not have to look back if need be. Start a crisis group; find women in the church who may be willing to let these women stay with them while getting back on their feet. Find women who will pray and not judge, women who have been where these women are.

I am calling all Christian women, in these circumstances, to take a stand for Christ. God can restore your husband, but not until you make him accountable for his actions. If he has a girlfriend on the side and you at home cooking, cleaning and taking care of him he is experiencing the best of both worlds. You have to see yourself the way God sees you, as His treasure, as the apple of His eye! God will open a door to recovery for you that will truly astonish you.  I know because He did it for me.

If you are a man (or woman) in adultery I beg you to look around you. What do you see? Bridges falling, earthquakes, hurricanes, signs and wonders! Your time is short. Come back to Jesus, leave the sin behind and realize that your Father waits for you with open arms.

If you need help, write me. My ministry provides help to the hurting, we do more than pray we help in many ways as God provides!

You may be thinking, “There is no hope for my situation”. I can tell you from personal experience that NOTHING…NO THING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD. GOD IS GOING TO OPEN A DOOR TO YOU THAT NO MAN OR WOMAN CAN SHUT!!
